3rio is a dynamic electric string trio dedicated to elevating events with unforgettable live music experiences. Whether it’s a private celebration or a public gathering, we specialize in captivating audiences and creating lasting memories through our unique blend of talent and artistry.

At the heart of 3rio is Raphael Batista, our first violinist, award-winning composer, and producer. Originally from Brazil, Raphael’s musical journey began with orchestras, where he consistently earned top honors in violin competitions. Today, he is a sought-after violinist and DJ, performing across the United States with his signature energy and passion.

Our second violinist, James Teal, hails from Puerto Rico and brings a wealth of expertise to the group. A graduate of Stetson University in Central Florida, James now performs full-time at private events throughout New York City and its surrounding areas, sharing his love of music with diverse audiences.

Completing the trio is our cellist, Hector Ortiz, widely known as Cello Azul. Of Mexican descent, Hector is a prominent figure in the Cumbia music community in Los Angeles. With a foundation in classical cello, he has toured extensively across the United States as an electric cellist with renowned groups and continues to perform regularly in and around Los Angeles.
